Integrity, Honesty, Loyalty
The new-graduate mentoring program is designed to assist with the transition of student to functioning therapist in an outpatient environment. All Drayer Physical Therapy Institute® (DPTI) new graduates are required to participate in this 24 week program. The mentee is paired with a mentor in his or her clinic. This allows the new graduate to establish a working relationship immediately upon entering the clinic. Each week the mentee and mentor will cover material that has been pre-outlined based on body region. The material is a guideline and the pair is encouraged to use this opportunity to discuss pertinent patient cases, anatomy, biomechanics, differential diagnosis, clinical reasoning, literature review and treatment techniques. Flexibility has been built into the program that allows the mentee and mentor to focus on individual needs.
In addition to the weekly mentoring sessions each mentee is required to participate in two DPTI continuing education courses held at corporate and through MedBridge.
